I was given this task in a post-iPod era: to design a MP3 player. Now that there're many models out there, I started to think: Is there anything not needed on an MP3 player? Can I be even simpler than Apple? Challenge accepted.
Hardware-software synergy is a principle throughout this design. I decide: Lock is not needed on a MP3 player. A haptic button over a normal screen works better than a touch screen. And there shall be nothing more.
